Curtains: A Range of Curtains

Mimeographed typescript, stapled in several gatherings and with loose sheets as well. Poet, writer, playwright, artist, and translator Paul Buck founded the magazine Curtains in 1971. Twenty-one issues comprised the original series through 1978. This copy is directed on the top page to poet/publisher James Laughlin, and contributors include Maurice Blanchot, Paul Buck, Corman, Eigner, Hirschman, Noel, Jonathan R, Peter Riley, Gael Turnbull, the Waldrops, et al. Auster translates three poems, ‘Plain’, ‘The Light of the Blade’, and ‘This Surface’ by André du Bouchet.
